North Carolina B.A.S.S. Federation State Team Pictures. Each year, North Carolina B.A.S.S. Federation Nation qualifies 14 of the top Anglers in the State. The 14 top anglers compete in the B.A.S.S. Southern Divisional hosted by one of the 7 states in the B.A.S.S. Southern Division. One angler advances to the National where they will have a one in eight chance of making the BASS MASTER CLASSIC, the Holy Grail of Bass Fishing Tournaments. Here are some pictures of our State Team and the fun we have had. The years I have competed in this prestigious tournament (Southern Divisional) are: 2004, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. In 2007 and 2012 I was second from NC and just shy of advancing to the National Championship. In 2009, I won the Southern Divisional, advanced to the B.A.S.S. National Championship and missed the CLASSIC by a little over 2 pounds.
